Charlotte County brush fire prompts evacuation as smoke reduces visibility

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A large fire broke out in the area of Gisinger Boulevard, Jennings Boulevard, and Gillot Boulevard in the Port Charlotte/Englewood area on Friday, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
