New Orleans celebrates Mardi Gras, the indulgent conclusion of Carnival season
People are celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans on Tuesday with parades, revelry and costumes. Mardi Gras is also known as Fat Tuesday. It falls the day before Ash Wednesday.
